TriGen avoids CO2 emissions in Oil & Gas operations by combusting hydrocarbons with pure oxygen (O2), generated by an Air Separation Unit (ASU), to produce a combination of clean power and net zero “blue” barrels, or carbon credits. The CO2 from the process is permanently stored in oil or gas reservoirs, making the products ‘zero emission’. TriGen selected oxyfuel technology after a rigorous comparison between different carbon capture technologies. Oxyfuel is uniquely suited to O&G applications due to its tolerance for heavily contaminated gas streams containing CO2, H2S and Nitrogen.
